TNT Post have signed a two year contract with PRO-CURE, a provider of NHS commercial services across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hampshire, saving the company a forecast £300,000.

The contract covers PRO-CURE and its partners NHS Commercial Solutions and the East of England Collaborative Procurement Hub, which will receive a two day delivery service with TNT Post.

Nick Wells, CEO TNT Post says: “More than ever before public savings are paramount. TNT Post is committed to effective and sustainable competition which reduces costs, incentivises innovation and encourages efficiency, and we are excited to be contributing to NHS savings.”

Four PRO-CURE customer trusts across Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire have already benefited from TNT Post’s discounted price, which came into effect on 1 July.

TNT Post achieved the savings by merging the volume of post across 19 trusts across the south and east of England, totalling seven million letters a year.

TNT Post are offering a three-month trial as well as training for machine-readable post to any NHS Trusts considering switching postal providers.

Postal prices were raised earlier this year when Ofcom lifted the cap on Royal Mail first and second class stamps. The TNT Post service does not require the use of franking machines, cutting the cost of postage and maintaining the franking equipment.
