Wincanton has won a £60m, three-year milk distribution renewal with Dairy Crest, which will extend the firms' partnership to 21 years of working together.

The deal will see the logistics giant collecting milk from more than 600 farms across southern England and Wales and transporting it, via a 100-strong fleet, to four Dairy Crest dairies.

Mike Sheldon, milk procurement director at Dairy Crest, says Wincanton was chosen to continue as delivery partner due to its commitment to providing continuous efficiencies across the operation.

Wincanton MD Chris Kingshott adds: “We started our partnership with Dairy Crest in 1994, with a shared commitment to a sustainable UK dairy sector. Indeed, Wincanton‘s experience in the industry dates even further back to 1925, so we share a real heritage with Dairy Crest.”

Dairy Crest’s brands include famous names such as Cathedral City, Country Life, Clover and Frijj.
