Bibby Distribution takes powder tankers from Feldbinder

Bibby Distribution has bought five new custom-designed powder tankers in a bid to cut the cost of transporting food and ingredients.

The Feldbinder tankers, each able to transport 63,000m³, will transport powdered foodstuffs such as starches and sugars across the country and will be operating primarily out of Bibby’s Corby campus.

Bibby Distribution business unit director Vaughan Pendergest said: “Our food and ingredient operations continue to expand rapidly, so by investing in additional custom-built tankers, our customers will benefit from greater savings, flexibility and reliability.”

Bibby Distribution recently inked an early renewal on its Ultraframe contract.
