Aztek Logistics has invested in nine FORS Gold standard trucks including MAN tractor units, new MAN 18-tonne rigids and its first 18-tonne Volvo rigids.
The Letchworth-based business, part of the Pallet-Track network, has reported a double-digit increase in service enquiries compared to this time last year and the move follows a series of investments including the opening of a fifth warehouse, taking its storage space to 140,000sq ft.
Aztek is also looking to recruit new staff to coincide with the expansion.
MD Stuart Charter said: “Ongoing investment in our fleet is essential to ensure we are able to continue to deliver the top-quality service we are known for. With the past few months reaching new levels of demand due to the sheer volume of goods coming and going, this investment was vital to keep service smooth.
“Growing our fleet has helped us prepare as we enter peak season, where we are expecting to see even greater demand from both existing and new customers. We also need to consider the repercussions of a potential no-deal Brexit which could bring its own new level of need for our services.
“The new trucks are investment number three in our wider plan for growth, and we are still looking at new areas where we can build greater infrastructure and continue to exceed both customer expectation and accommodate rising volumes.
“We are confident that Aztek Logistics will continue its upward trajectory beyond 2020. Therefore investing in our infrastructure across all divisions of the business now, such as our fleet, will help us maintain top-quality customer care.”
