Ivybridge, Devon-based Kay Transport has bought King Stag (Transport).
The deal, completed on the 12 April, sees the Pallet Track member, which is based in Stalbridge, Dorset, snapped up by the West Country haulier, which is a Palletways member.
In a joint letter to customers Kay Transport director Tim Prout said it would be “business as normal” post deal, and confirmed that King Stag (Transport) director Richard Pink would be staying with the business.
A newer fleet of vehicles was due to be put into operation at King Stag (Transport), which has an O-licence to run 10 vehicles and 12 trailers, this week.
Kay Transport is owned by Gregory Distribution (Holding), which bought West Sussex-based temperature-controlled specialist Philson Haulage in February.
