Parcel carrier manager Global Freight Solutions (GFS) has had its contract with outdoor clothing retailer Musto extended to include management of a ‘click and collect’ service.
The company already handles the management of domestic and international parcel delivery for Musto and the new service will allow consumers to collect their parcels from one of 19 Musto stores around the country.
The system, which GFS says will be offered to its other existing retail clients, will also send consumers a text message or email to notify them when their goods arrive in store.
Daniel Ennor, commercial director at GFS, said: “We are effectively putting click and collect within easy reach of those retailers which might previously have been deterred by the perceived difficulties of restructuring their e-commerce sites.”
Musto’s supply chain director Vaughan Bendall said the new service will offer its customers more delivery and collection options.
Last month, high street retailer New Look chose GFS to manage its click and collect orders.
