Freshlinc has become one of the first UK operators to place a major order for DAF Trucks’ new generation XFs.
The Spalding-based temperature-controlled operator will take delivery of 40 480 6x2 tractor units, with FTG mid-lift axle configuration, from the end of the year.
The new trucks will be built at Leyland Trucks in Lancashire and the Freshlinc vehicles will be supported with R&M contracts handled by its local DAF dealer Ford & Slater.
“We’re looking forward to the prospect of receiving these new generation DAF trucks,” said Freshlinc Fleet Engineer, Andy Marchant.
“Our order of 40 vehicles demonstrates our faith in the DAF brand, with our existing DAF fleet having delivered good performance and reliability over many years.”
