Logistics real estate investor and developer Firethorn Trust has appointed UK construction company Glencar to deliver a 340,000 sq ft logistics unit at Gateway 36 in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Located just two minutes from junction 36 of the M1, the 24-acre development, known as Barnsley 340, will comprise of 320,000 sq ft of Grade A logistics accommodation together with 20,000 as ft of office space.
It will also feature a best-in-class future proofed specification, targeting the BREEAM “Excellent” rating, and delivered as net-zero carbon in construction.

Work on the site will commence later this year and completion is due in Q2 2023.
