Foodservice provider Brakes has teamed up with Solomon Commercials to take delivery of bespoke refrigerated vehicles, including 10 temperature controlled 7.2-tonne Iveco Dailys.
The partnership also sees the two companies collaborating with Thermoking and Iveco to design, develop and produce more than 70 reefers specifically for Brake’s operations.
The 7.2-tonners have been designed with an aerodynamic cab system designed to aid airflow around the body to increase fuel efficiency.
The new fleet also includes safety systems, such as camera systems, flood lighting and an LED cycle safety warning system.
Solomon also modified the body structure to support the condenser unit and internal recesses to accommodate the refrigerant pipework, with the Thermoking V500 under-mounted on runners to provide easy access for maintenance.
