Dutch logistics firm A2B-online has centralised its UK operations at a newly acquired site in Ipswich.
The new site, located at Orwell Crossing, close to Felixstowe Port and the A14, will house the firm’s UK subsidiary A2B-online Transport, which was established in 2011.
The site contains newly built offices and secure parking for 50 HGVs.
The company, which specialises in full load, part load and pallet consignments to and from the UK, Benelux and Germany, said it had experienced rapid growth since 2016.
Rinus Scheijde, MD of A2B-online, said: “Over the last two years, our business has grown from 10 to 46 trucks and we plan to continue expanding at 10% per year for the next five years.
“The new base at Orwell Crossing will play an important role in our future expansion as it will allow us more control over our work by keeping our trucks all parked in one place.
"While we expect the lorry park will be full to capacity within the next year, the office space at Orwell Crossing is future-proofed as it has been designed and built off-site in modular form, which means we can quickly add another level as and when we outgrow the existing space.”
