Baker Warburtons has awarded a three year tyre supply contract to Goodyear covering its UK fleet of 906 trucks, trailers and vans.
The contract is based on Goodyear’s high mileage, all weather KMAX steer, drive and trailer tyres backed by TruckForce's 24/7 tyre roadside repair service.
Warbutons is also trialling Goodyear’s tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
David Howe, general manager – commercial - at Goodyear, said: “As one of the UK’s best-known household brands, and with a substantial supply chain and delivery schedule that spans the entirety of the UK, we understand that there is a very real need to ensure the Warburtons fleet is properly maintained, and that the risk of unexpected downtime is minimised.
"We’re delighted, therefore, to have been chosen as Warburtons’ UK tyre supplier, and are excited to be working together over the next three years.”
