Palletline London’s charitable work helping Ealing Foodbank provide thousands of parcels to local families has been recognised in the foodbank’s annual report.
For the past three years, Perivale-based Palletline London has provided a dedicated vehicle and driver to work in partnership with Ealing Foodbank, collecting donations of food and other items from local supermarkets.
In 2025 the foodbank received 119 tonnes of donated food and purchased another 79 tonnes of essential items to help some of the region’s poorest households.
Together the donations and purchases allowed the foodbank to distribute enough food to make up 335,448 healthy, balanced meals, feeding 23,962 adults and 13,306 children in that time.
Over the 12 months Palletline has helped with the distribution of the goods, transporting food between local branches of Tesco, the Ealing Foodbank warehouse, its eight foodbank centres as well as the foodbank in Slough.
The food is then divided to make parcels large enough to supply meals for three days. Last year 15,614 parcels were distributed.
In addition to ensuring families are fed, the foodbank team of 350-plus volunteers were part of more than 1,800 signposting conversations, advising people where to go for help with debts, benefits, filling in forms and more. Those conversations generated a further £839,059 for foodbank users who had sought the advice.
