Norbert Dentressangle Valera two-man delivery

Norbert Dentressangle has won a new logistics contract with catering equipment and commercial refrigeration supplier Valera.It will use two-man crews from its specialist services operation to collect equipment from Valera’s Banbury operation for consolidation at Norbert’s Leighton Buzzard site.

Own branded products, as well as products from Sanyo, Fagor, Jordao Cooling Systems and Masterfrost, will then be delivered to hotels, pubs and restaurants nationwide on a 48-hour and next-day delivery basis.

Valera MD Pratap Gadhvi said the firm chose ND as it offered the best combination of cost for two-man deliveries and a flexible next-day delivery service.

Gadhvi said: “The company has a large UK network that can effectively service our customer base and an in-depth understanding of our requirements. We also have the option of using ND’s pan-European network to import products going forward.”

The high-value products will be transported by vehicles fitted with restraining harnesses and tail lifts for easy loading.
