United Pallet Network (UPN) is to move to a new home next year as it makes provision for continuing growth.
The pallet network is to relocate to a new facility on Fradley Distribution Park, where its current central hub is.
A new long-term lease commences from January 2020 and UPN will be spending more than £2m on the facility, which is approximately 250,000sq ft in size.
UPN's current hub has a capacity of 8,500 pallets a night, something that it hasn’t yet met, and the new hub will be able to handle 11,500 pallets nightly, providing plenty of headroom for the growing business.
The lease on its current home will lapse this year, and there are plans to redevelop that side of the distribution park as a residential space.

“The UPN board of directors are extremely excited about this move and the significant potential for growth and expansion that it will bring for both us and our network,” said David Brown, MD of the pallet network.
“This move and level of investment will allow us to continue to be recognised as a high quality, member focused UK pallet network,” he added.
Although exact timings are to be confirmed, UPN intends to be fully operational in its new home by May 2020.
