TNT Post has signed a deal with convenience store parcel network CollectPlus to provide international deliveries for SMEs.
The new service will give smaller online retailers the opportunity to drop off parcels for worldwide delivery at one of 4,800 CollectPlus stores nationwide.
Director of international parcels for TNT Post, Bob van Ierland said: “A majority of online entrepreneurs in the UK plan to expand internationally within the coming 12 months.
"They will need access to international shipping services around the corner. This is why TNT Post’s global distribution capabilities, together with CollectPlus’ dense and accessible drop-off network makes a strong combination.”
The partnership will provide a more convenient international delivery service for smaller online retailers, as CollectPlus stores are open until late 7 days a week.
Mark Lewis, chief executive of CollectPlus, said: “This is a great first step to developing an integrated international offer for CollectPlus customers.
"It demonstrates our commitment to providing a convenient and reliable parcel service in the UK but also recognises the growing need for businesses to operate on a global scale as well as a greater demand from consumers for more choice.”
