Suttons Groups’ UK tanker division has won a contract with Total UK for the distribution of petroleum products following a competitive tender.
The contract will primarily be for B2B commercial fuel deliveries with Total UK's petroleum fleet controlled from an operations centre in Purfleet, Essex.
Outgoing Suttons MD Andrew Palmer said: “This contract strengthens our position as a supplier of bulk fuel transport.
"Suttons will bring industry leading standards of health and safety and operational excellence to the contract and we look forward to a successful partnership.”
Last week MT.co.uk reported that new MD John Sutton, who starts on 1 May, will look at acquisition targets in the UK food supply chain market.
