Former Palletways member Reason Transport has joined Palletline as part of a deal that sees the firm relocate its depot to the network’s new Coventry hub.
The firm will also service Amazon’s Daventry fulfillment centre from the hub.
Palletline attributed Reason Transport’s move to the network’s shareholder business model, which it said is a “better fit” for the firm, offering “more favourable” commercial terms.
Reason Transport MD Alan Reason added: “We very much felt that a move to Palletline would further the ambitions of our business and better position us for future growth, both in terms of volume and the high levels of network service our customers demand”.
Palletline director Graham Leitch said the network was “delighted” that Reason Transport was moving to Palletline adding that “with the opening of our new Coventry site, the timing and strategy were perfect for the two businesses to join together”.
The pallet network officially opened its Coventry hub earlier this month, which works as a consolidation point for the increasing amount of work it does for Amazon.
Reason Transport was previously a member of the Palletways network
