Meachers Global Logistics has sealed a deal with Millbrook Beds to operate the manufacturer’s entire transport network.
Under the terms of the three-year partnership, Hampshire-based Meachers will take on all of Millbrook Beds’ drivers and a number of the company’s trucks.
The deal sees Meachers, which has depots in Nursling and Fair Oak in Hampshire and in Derby, move from supporting the bed company with the distribution of beds and mattresses to fully managing it.
Gary Whittle, commercial director at Meachers (pictured right with Ross Thurston, operations director at Millbrook Beds) said: “We have a long-standing relationship with Millbrook Beds, which spans more than 10 years.
“I’m delighted to strengthen our relationship further with this new long-term agreement that will see Meachers become its total and sole UK logistics partner.
