Meachers Global Logistics wins contract extension with Huhtamaki

Meachers Global Logistics has had its distribution contract with packaging firm Huhtamaki (UK) extended again.

Gosport-based Huhtamaki (UK), manufactures plastic and paper packaging for FMCG goods, fresh foods and catering disposable markets.

The new contract, following an extension in 2013, will see the logistics firm manage all of Huhtamaki’s UK and Republic of Ireland distribution. Meachers has worked with Huhtamaki since 2007.

Head of supply chain at Huhtamaki UK, Gary Owen, said: “Meachers has continued to provide Huhtamaki with an excellent service throughout the contract period.

“The company’s professional and innovative approaches to logistics were key factors in our decision and we look forward to further cementing our relationship over the next three years.”
