Doncaster-based BJS Storage and Distribution has inked a contract hire deal with Ryder for 50 new curtainside trailers.
The new tri-axle trailers are being built by Montracon and will replace older trailers in BJS’s 120- strong trailer fleet.
BJS director Richard Hall, said: “As our business expands it is essential to have modern high specification equipment in the fleet to meet customer requirements.”
Hall said the additional mobile trailer repair and maintenance solutions, provided through Ryder subsidiary Bullwell Trailer Solutions, was a key element of the deal.
He added: “Our trucks operate nationally and as our business continues to grow it was becoming increasing important to have a first class nationwide breakdown and repair solution in place.”
