Whistl has signed a seven year contract with pension and asset management company Aegon. The former TNT Post will collect, sort and transport 10 million items of post for Edinburgh-based Aegon every week. The operation will be fulfilled at the company’s new Tannochside sorting depot, which opened last year. UK Mail is anticipating a fall in both pre-tax profit and turnover for the year ended 31 March 2016 after the installation of incompatible technology incurred huge costs.
UK Mail chief executive Guy Buswell has said the company will be investing in its depot network and automated sortation equipment after delivering an18% uplift in pre-tax profit.
