Truck maker Daf has become the first truck manufacturer to approve Goodyear’s new Ultra Grip Max winter tyres as factory-fit options.
The Ultra Grip Max tyre range, available in both drive and steer axle versions, is claimed to provide up to 40% more snow grip when half-worn and up to 15% more mileage compared to its Ultra Grip WTD range.
“We are delighted that Daf is the first manufacturer approving our new truck winter tyre line,” said Peter Platje, director OE sales truck tyres at Goodyear Dunlop.
“Mobility is a key factor for commercial vehicles, particularly during winter. Now customers can have their new Daf trucks delivered with our best tyres for the worst possible winter conditions,” he added.
Ultra Grip Max S (steer) and D (drive) tyres have been available in 315/80R22.5 and 315/70R22.5 versions for the replacement market since the middle of the year.
