Morrisons is to begin making home deliveries in London next week as it continues to increase the reach of its online grocery offer.

The first London deliveries will be made on Monday 12 May and will supplement the Yorkshire and Warwickshire home delivery networks it set up at the beginning of the year.

In its Q1 interim management statement this week, Morrisons also laid out plans for its Morrisons.com delivery network to reach 50% of households across the UK by the end of the year. Locations have not yet been revealed.

Last year he supermarket opened a 100,000ft² DC in Feltham, west London, which is being operated by Wincanton.

Morrisons has also been renting vehicles from Burnt Tree to support the opening of its convenience stores.

Yesterday's statement said the company was on-track to meet its target of having 200 open by the end of the year.
