TNT Post has won new contracts with Cotton Traders and Matalan, as well as more business from ten existing customers, including BT and Home Retail Group.

The new contracts will see the firm handle delivery for over 35 million mail items a year for Matalan and clothing retailer Cotton Traders.

It will also deliver over 950 million items annually for BT, Home Retail Group, Saga, Santander, Barclays, Thames Water, Friends Provident, Direct Wine, Capita and charity RSA, which have all renewed their contracts with TNT Post.

TNT Post revealed it had seen a 5% increase in mail volumes in 2012, processing 3.8 billion letters and packets in a year. It also invested £3m in sorting and processing machinery.

Chief executive Nick Wells said: “At TNT Post we pride ourselves on delivering an excellent service to all of our customers, and we are proud to have such a strong client roster that want to stay with TNT Post or switch to our service.”
