Mars has renewed its regional distribution contract with Fowler Welch, extending the relationship by two years.

The contract covers a factory clearance service and outbound distribution to retailers and secondary wholesalers.

Fowler Welch will run from two locations in the Midlands and Greater London, using a dedicated fleet. The operator has held the contract for three years.

Fowler Welch recently acquired a 500,000 ft² ambient warehouse at its Heywood DC in Greater Manchester, and enjoyed a rise in group turnover.

Fowler Welch national operations director John Kerrigan said: “This contract renewal is fantastic news for us, we thank all of our colleagues for their hard work and dedication to this contract in the past three years and we look forward to growing our relationship further with our customer in the years to come”.
