A Bradford haulage and courier firm has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
A to B Direct has been operating for more than 20 years but earlier this week (13 February) documents showed it had lodged an application to enter insolvency proceedings.
Records also showed two businesses had filed winding-up petitions against the haulier, in December 2023 and January this year.
The company offers courier, haulage and parcel delivery services and runs out of two operating centres in Bradford and Dewsbury.
Office of the traffic commissioner records show it holds a standard international licence authorising a total of 14 HGVs and four trailers.
Its website states that it runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, delivering throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
“As Bradford’s largest independent couriers we can undertake same day deliveries from an envelope to a full load,” it said.
“We work regularly with various blue chip companies including Bradford Council, NHS Trusts, Johnson & Johnson and DHL, as well as companies in the automobile, textile, chemical, transport, print and food industries.”
The company had not responded as we went to press.
