Woodland Group has opened its second distribution facility at iPort in Doncaster, in response to significant growth.
The 130,458 sq ft location was secured on a 10-year lease and is now fully operational with six clients under contract.
The move follows the opening of a 195,000 sq ft fulfilment and distribution warehouse at iPort in February last year.
The company said the multimodal freight terminal, iPort Rail, has enabled it to develop carbon-conscious solutions across its supply chains and it has even launched a dedicate rail service through iPort Rail for onsite clients.
Luke Fermor, Woodland Group global head of fulfilment, said: “The Woodland fulfilment business is seeing large growth with strategic clients who trust us with their complete end to end supply chain solutions.
“This new dedicated e-commerce facility gives us the ability to store over 15,000 pallets and 12,000 pick locations all being managed by our state-of-the-art, in-house built WMS.”
