Wincanton has won a warehousing and distribution contract with fashion label Paul’s Boutique.
The contract will see the operator deliver products to department stores across the UK, as well as store its range of women’s clothing, accessories and perfume.
Paul’s Boutique has taken some space at Wincanton’s 500,000ft² shared-user DC in Greenford, west London, as part of its “pay as you grow” model, which enables customers to pay only for the space they need.
Wincanton’s business unit director Paul Durkin said: “[We give] businesses the flexibility to only pay for the space they require as their operations expand, safe in the knowledge they can utilise our shared infrastructure to keep fixed costs to a minimum.”
Paul’s Boutique said it had outgrown its previous warehouse, but moving its operations to a larger facility would have restricted its expansion plans.
Last month Wincanton revealed a 2.1% increase in operating profit for the first half of this year.
