Wincanton has won a contract with homeware retailer Williams-Sonoma, which is launching in the UK this month.
The operator’s two-man delivery arm will assemble and deliver furniture to homes across the country when the US retailer opens its first UK store under its West Elm brand this month.
The contract will also cover deliveries to the Tottenham Court Road store, as well as warehousing at Wincanton’s site in West Thurrock, Essex.
"For our UK launch we need a supply chain partner that shares our values and can be trusted to deliver operational excellence,” said Dean Miller, Williams-Sonoma’s chief supply chain officer.
Wincanton CEO Eric Born said: “We are very proud to be selected as Williams-Sonoma's supply chain partner and look forward to supporting the company's growth in the UK.”
