What price Euro-6?

There is only one thing wrong with Euro-6 – "and that’s the price".

So concluded Nigel Cook of Elddis Transport at Commercial Motor Live’s lively discussion about the impact of the new ultra-clean Euro-6 emissions standard.

Well the price is of course only what someone is prepared to pay and word has it that one North West of England-based operator has just placed a "significant order" for Euro-6 trucks because they "got a very good deal".

The Hub will refrain from naming either the truck manufacturer or operator concerned to protect commercial confidentiality but it appears Euro-6 deals are already there to be had.
