Transport planner promoted at Premier Logistics

Already the holder of a transport manager CPC from a previous employer, Statham started with Premier three years ago as a transport planner to gain the knowledge around how the company operates.

MD Lee Christopher said he had been impressed with the planner’s progress and had excelled in customer service and driver management: “One of the things we have noticed when someone has been at Premier for some time is that they have a full 360 understanding of how the company works, our values, and the unique and specific ways in which we do things,” he said. 

“Alastar is now well-equipped after his three-year stint as transport planner.

“He is customer service focused and gets on with our drivers very well. He has a calm head and has been able to prove how he can communicate both internally and externally.”

Statham said: “There has never been a day where I haven’t learnt from others or developed my skillset and I think that’s due to the culture at Premier.

“As a family-run business they treat us all like family members and therefore, I’ve always felt comfortable and confident to raise issues and share ideas.

“As assistant transport manager, I start the next leg of my journey with Premier.”
