Transport Exchange Group has upgraded the booking chain functionality for its Haulage Exchange and Courier Exchange platforms.
The company said it would allow member businesses with an improved means of managing and updating the status of loads when they carry out work on each other’s behalf.
As a result, those using the exhanges are, according to Transport Exchange, now able to better monitor the complete lifecycle of inter-company transactions by automatically sharing key details with their trading partners in order to save time and money and boost operational performance.
Lyall Cresswell, MD of Transport Exchange (pictured), said: “Our freight trading platform is designed to be fast, flexible and responsive to offer unrivalled simplicity and ease of use to our 6,000 members.
"We are continually looking to develop clever and intuitive tools, so they can quickly and efficiently share information to effectively develop trusted networks, boost operational efficiency and increase profitability. Moreover, integrations with complementary third-party systems, such as vehicle tracking and transport management solutions, is making it easier than ever before to work with our freight trading platform.”
- Transport Exchange says the new features enable companies to quickly allocate jobs to another member or even a regular sub-contractor. The solution simplifies and enhances booking processes via the freight trading platform by providing added functionality to manage the flow of order, status and proof of delivery information to relevant stakeholders. The information can also now be integrated into any existing transport management system used by member companies through a new application programming interface. Automatic updates can also now be set up for any booking.
