North West traffic commissioner Simon Evans will address attendees at a conference in Cumbria this week for businesses involved in transport and logistics.
The event on Friday 18 October will be hosted by the Cumbria Transport Group, whose members include AW Jenkinson, Burridge Transport, Stobart Group and Wm Armstrong.
The group represents companies in Cumbria operating with freight and passenger transport and promotes employment opportunities, career and skills development and influences transport policy.
As well as headline speaker TC Evans, other sessions include an introduction to electric commercial vehicles by event sponsors NRG Fleet Services and a presentation by Philip Wanless from environmental support experts CBEN.
Attendance at the conference in Penrith between 9.30am and 1.30pm is free, but the group advises booking beforehand either via the Eventbrite website or on tel: 01228 530 552.
