Aztek Logistics has been awarded the highest industry accreditation for product handling and food safety for the first time.

The Hertfordshire-based firm secured the top BRCGS AA ranking after an audit of its storage and distribution facilities last month.

It’s the 11th consecutive year that it has secured BRCGS accreditation, but the first time it has been recognised at AA level – a globally-recognised benchmark for the highest possible standards in food safety, hygiene, quality management and traceability.

The Pallet-Track member works with a range of customers across the retail and food and drink sectors.

It also holds other key industry accolades, including Organic Food Federation and FORS Gold, Silver and Bronze accreditations.

The company secured the top BRCGS AA ranking for the first time following an unannounced audit of its storage and distribution facilities.

Duncan Pannell, operations manager at Aztek Logistics, said: “This is a wonderful achievement for everyone at Aztek and reflects the continuous journey of improvement we are on.

“We’re well-used to the work required to meet the BRC’s exacting requirements on a yearly basis, and landing the AA ranking is a perfect demonstration that our standards are high all year round, every year.

“This latest accreditation provides further assurance to our customers that our processes are maintained to the highest-possible standards all year round.”
