HGV drivers now have the opportunity to do some of their Driver CPC training at home after a flexible course was launched offering a mixture of e-learning and classroom-based work.
Skills for Logistics and training firm Pertemps have teamed up to offer the course after acknowledging the “huge shift” in the way people have been working and learning over the last 12 months.
They said that the blended learning, JAUPT-accredited version of the Driver CPC provided a mixture of two hours e-learning, followed by five hours in the classroom with a qualified trainer and offered HGV drivers and employers a flexible option.
All drivers attending the course will also be offered free enrolment on a career development platform called FLOW Logistics Online.
Samantha Leleu, Pertemps founder, said: “Working with Skills for Logistics, we listened to drivers and their employers and are extremely pleased to bring a new and innovative approach to the industry."
