As well as hearing first-hand the latest updates on Sheffield’s Clean Air Zone from senior councillors, next month’s Motor Transport roadshow provides an opportunity for fleet operators to learn peer to peer what to expect when taking the plunge with alternative fuels.
Already confirmed to take part are Sheffield City Council’s own fleet team, waste firm Veolia and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service – which have already trialled electric, hydrogen, gas and hybrid technology between them.
You’ll be able to interact with them directly in a series of small working groups taking place after Sheffield City Council shares its clean air strategy in the opening session.
You can also find out more about Yorkshire’s successful ECO Stars programme, which is a free of charge programme to help operators improve fleet efficiency, reduce emissions and fuel costs.
In addition, you’ll be able to explore whether rental or leasing may be an option for your business when it comes to fleet compliance.
A wide range of the latest clean HGVs, vans and fleet equipment will be on display at the roadshow, with manufacturers and local Yorkshire dealerships on hand to answer any questions.
The Sheffield Clean Air Roadshow is completely free to attend and takes place on the morning of 17 March at Magna, Rotherham, with lunch provided at the end.
Make sure to secure your free place today, as places do tend to fill up quickly for these events.
