Scania will launch the first of its much-anticipated range of new trucks on 23 August, starting with the public debut of the first units designed for the European long-haul sector.
The manufacturer said it will launch its new offerings in several phases, focusing on different industry and customer segments. Its current generation of trucks will be sold in parallel to the new offering.
Scania said the new range will reduce operating and maintenance costs, boost vehicle up-time and put Scania at the forefront of sustainable transport.
Christian Levin, executive vice-president, sales and marketing, at Scania Group said: “At the moment, we are not providing any further information about the many innovations, which are in store, but I am convinced that what Scania will unveil on 23 August will be talked about – both inside and outside the industry.”
