Salford Van Hire has embarked on a vehicle buying spree, with the purchase of more than 300 new units for its fleet.
The Manchester and Leeds based firm has recently invested in 150 Daf XF units, 60 MAN TGX units, 50 Renault T units, 20 Renault D rigid units and 25 DAF CF units. All are Euro-6 with the exception of 100 Daf XFs, which are Euro-5 models.
The new vehicles will begin operation throughout September and October as additions to the firm’s spot hire fleet. However many of them are already assigned to logistics companies hiring the vehicles to meet the demands of the busy Christmas period.
SHV director Alessandro Bacci said: Both the retail and manufacturing sectors are showing growth as the economy picks up and we have to be ready to meet our customer demand. This investment in the latest high spec technology vehicles reflects our confidence in the future and our determination to provide customers with the very best in vehicle hardware and customer service.”
