Renault Trucks has published an open-sourced map showing the locations of all the eHGV public charging hubs across Europe.
It said it showed that low carbon transportation was not just a promise; it was a reality and the infrastructure available along the main highways meant electric lorries could now operate efficiently over long distances.
The truck maker’s map is regularly updated and currently lists nearly 500 existing or soon-to-be-operational charging hubs for trucks in Europe.
As of 30 September, there were 191 truck-specific chargers; 157 operational charging hubs suitable for trucks and 135 HGV-specific hubs in the pipeline.
It added that the North Sea – Baltic corridor included 13 truck-dedicated stations, seven of which are under construction or planned and the Rhine – Alpine corridor has 13, including three currently being deployed.
In addition to these, there are also charging points compatible with heavy-duty vehicles, although not specifically designed for them.
The map can be accessed here.
