RED Corporate Driver Training has appointed training expert Colin Paterson (pictured) to a newly created role of corporate marketing.
Paterson joins the business after spending nearly five years as head of marketing at AA Drivetech.
He was also director of marketing and communications at IAM RoadSmart and he established the marketing department at TRACKER.
Paterson said: “The fleet sector is undergoing huge changes, with the transition to electric, the advent of autonomy and issues to manage such as the cost of fuel and driver shortages.
“I hope my experience in the sector can help develop RED’s offering and give firms the training tools to navigate these issues.”
RED chief executive Seb Goldin said the appointment would open more doors at corporate clients: “This appointment comes at an important time, not just for RED but for drivers as a whole,” he said.
“The demands of more technology, electrification and increased congestion mean that having safe drivers behind the wheel is more important than ever.”
