Freight customs specialist Derry Bros said it had achieved strong growth last year with a record number of hauliers and forwarders requiring support for the movement of goods between the UK and Europe.
The company said it has attracted 300 new customers and processed over 110,000 customs declarations.
Derry Bros said in particular, the volume of GB-NI declarations jumped by 47% as shippers sought smoother trade across the Irish Sea.
Sarah-Louise Murray, customs manager at Derry Bros, said: “In the past year, we have increased our headcount by 25% and invested heavily in the digitisation of our processes to ensure we are best placed to handle any new requirements quickly, efficiently and safely.
“Customs regulations will continue to develop in the UK and EU during 2026, so we see further growth opportunities for the business moving forward.
“We successfully supported our customers for the changeover to ICS2 ahead of the mandatory deadline, as well as providing consultation to enable them to navigate and remain compliant in the EU’s carbon border adjustment mechanism regime,” she added.
