Palletways has cemented its position as Europe's largest pallet network with the opening of both Bulgarian and Romania hubs.
The development means the network now operates and delivers to 20 European countries.
Pallet ways said it now handled more than 30,000 pallets a day across mainland Europe and is predicting crossborder traffic will leap by as much as 50% this year.
Speaking about the latest developments, Rachael Alpha, MD of Palletways Europe, said: "Since their integration in 2007, Romania and Bulgaria have become important growth areas for the transportation of palletised goods.
"Naturally we saw the region as the next logical step in the development of our pan-European services as we extend our offer to more countries."
Palletways now has 12 hub operations and more than 400 (member) depots. Earlier this year the network extended its services to Poland and the Baltics.
