Macclesfield’s H Whittaker Group has joined Palletforce after experiencing an increase in the amount of palletised freight it handles.

The family-run haulier is covering selected Stockport postcodes that cover its hometown, plus Buxton and Whaley Bridge and helping the network strengthen its coverage in the North West.

Whittaker said it was looking to capitalise on the increase it had seen in palletised freight volumes and LTL consignments, and chose the Palletforce network after being impressed by a visit to its SuperHub facility in Burton upon Trent.

Director Adrian Whittaker said: “We were looking to join a pallet network for the first time because our volumes of palletised freight have increased significantly and it was an opportunity to secure a strong level of service for our customers.

“Our visit to the SuperHub really impressed us and the Palletforce brand has always been associated with quality and service in our area – it seemed the right fit for our family business which values strong customer relationships.

“Joining a network was a big decision for us but we are confident we will prosper with Palletforce.”

Whittaker Group is a fourth-generation family business which was started by Whittaker’s grandfather shortly after the Second World War.
