Pallet-Track has raced into action and committed to raising £75,000 to fund a new critical care car for the Midlands Air Ambulance.

So far, the Wolverhampton pallet network has raised nearly 65% of its target to put the charity’s vehicle on the road as fast as possible.

The critical care car will support the Air Ambulance’s nighttime operations and ensure 24-hour emergency coverage.

Fundraising activities to date have raised £48,142 for the charity and included its annual shareholder gala, golf day, a hub-to-hub cycle ride and charity casino night, which were all supported by colleagues and pallet network members.

Pallet-Track said that it costs Midlands Air Ambulance Charity up to £14m each year to maintain its three aircraft, fleet of critical care cars and deliver its lifesaving services.

Each air ambulance mission costs an average of £2,950, while a critical care car mission costs £288 on average.
