Last-mile operations and home deliveries are to be the focus at the next TfL LoCITY roadshow, taking place on 20 November.
Operators are invited to come along and hear directly from their peers about their trials in the latest low and zero-emission commercial vehicle technology.
Parcel firm Hermes, headline partner for the event, will share its experience in trialling both electric and gas-powered fleet vehicles.
Hermes will be joined by speakers from Sky, Royal Mail, Lawsons and Zedify, which are all successfully operating alternatively fuelled delivery vehicles in their own fleets.
In addition to the operator-led workshops, delegates can take part in a debate focused on best practice when it comes to consumers’ expectations for faster delivery of online purchases.
There will also be a wide selection of the latest low- and zero-emission delivery vehicles, from gas-powered and electric trucks and vans, through to cargo bikes.
This free-to-attend, half-day event is the sixth LoCITY roadshow hosted by TfL. It takes place on 20 November at CEME Conference Centre, Rainham.
LoCITY is a five-year programme created by TfL to help the freight sector prepare for the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which comes into effect next April, and support the mayor of London’s ambition for a zero-emission transport network by 2050.
Places are free, but do fill up fast, so make sure to register as soon as possible.
