Wren Kitchens and Bedrooms has ordered 70 Isuzu N75.190(E) 7.5-tonne rigids, with the first 20 now delivered, to meet the company’s growing UK operations.
The order is the largest single procurement of 7.5-tonne rigids that Wren has made from Isuzu Truck UK since the companies began working together almost 10 years ago.
The new trucks, which feature demountable box bodies, will replace older vehicles and add capacity to Wren’s commercial fleet. The company operates 410 commercial vehicles, including 125 7.5-tonners supplied by Isuzu.
The trucks will be used for multi-drop home deliveries across the UK and are expected to operate for up to six days a week, covering around 75,000 miles annually.
Each truck has been fitted with a demountable body designed by Wheelbase Engineering. The bodies include ancillary lockers for transporting home protection kits and safety equipment, together with a watertight compartment for a fire extinguisher.
The revised body design moves these items out of the cab, with Wren saying this will improve accessibility and driver comfort while making more efficient use of the available space.
The vehicles will remain in the fleet for five years, in line with Wren’s replacement policy.
All 70 trucks are being supplied on five-year full repair and maintenance contracts, with maintenance carried out through Isuzu Truck UK’s dealer network. They are also covered by Isuzu’s three-year unlimited-mileage warranty.
Philip Bennet, Wren Kitchens national fleet manager, said the new vehicles would increase the company’s capacity by 20%.

Lee Tansley, national fleet sales manager at Isuzu Truck UK, said the order reflected Wren’s continued use of the manufacturer’s 7.5-tonne N-Series.

Wren Kitchens was founded in 2009 and operates 125 showrooms across the UK. The privately owned business manufactures made-to-order kitchens and bedrooms for the domestic, contract and trade markets.
