The Pallet Network (TPN) has transferred responsibility for its collection and delivery operation in the Teesside region from its company-owned depot in Stockton-on-Tees to network member NFS 360 Connect.
The move sees take over the TS postcode area and effectively doubles the size of its pallet network operation in the North East.
TPN said the change forms part of its strategy to focus on operating and developing its pallet network while increasing the role of member businesses in regional operations.
NFS 360 Connect, which is based in Peterlee and is a founding member of TPN, is part of Groupe DESLOG.
The majority of employees at the former TPN Teesside operation will transfer to NFS 360 Connect as part of the move, ensuring continuity of service for customers and network members.
TPN chief executive Michael Conroy said: “This transition allows us to focus on operating and developing the network while creating a growth opportunity for one of our long-standing members.
“NFS 360 Connect has a strong track record within TPN and we are confident its local knowledge and experience will support customers and members across the Teesside region.”
NFS 360 Connect managing director Michael Banks said the transfer would significantly increase the company’s presence in the North East.
He said: “This expansion doubles the size of our pallet network operation and enables us to support more customers across the region.
“With the backing of Groupe DESLOG, we will continue investing in our people, fleet and facilities to support future growth.”
