The Bartrum Group saw a significant increase in turnover last year and said it was well placed for the future following investments in warehousing facilities.

Revenue at the Suffolk haulage contractors grew by 10% to £42.2m in the year ending 31 December 2025 and gross profit increased to £7.3m.

However, pre-tax profit reduced from £3.4m in 2024 to £1.1m last year.

The company said its directors were satisfied with the group’s financial position, which also showed a net current assets position of £2m and shareholders’ funds of £19m.

“The haulage industry is very competitive and the need to control costs and increase efficiency continues,” Bartrums said.

“Due to the competitive nature of the industry the directors continually strive to improve efficiencies via diligent fleet management, investment and cost control.

“Subsequent to the year end, the group secured an £11.4m growth funding package from HSBC, which is designed to support the ongoing business strategy and ongoing expansion.”

Earlier this year, the company added 15 new trailers to its fleet, dual-branded to celebrate its membership of the Pallet-Track network.

The trailers were additions to Bartrum’s fleet of more than 200 vehicles and came as it made a six-figure investment in its fleet in 2026.
