Pallet network Palletline, which is owned by its members, has announced a strategic senior management restructure to support its five year plan to drive growth and develop its members’ businesses.

The management restructuring closely follows Palletline’s announcement of an ambitious five year growth plan that includes a £10m investment to grow hub capacity by another 6,000 pallets per night, upgrades to its IT systems, expansion in mainland Europe and the signing up two major UK haulier members.
The new senior leadership team, which will report directly to Palletline chief operating officer Glenn Baker, will play a central role in supporting the five year plan, with a brief to evolve the business around emerging trends, seize new market opportunities, and ensure the company continues to set the benchmark for quality and reliability in palletised freight distribution.

New recruit Carl White joins the senior management team as network director, bringing over 25 years of experience across the parcels, pallets and general haulage sectors.
White has held senior roles at some of the UK’s largest transport firms, including Tuffnells, CityLink, DX and KNP. Palletline said White’s strategic thinking and leadership will be key in driving efficiency, performance and value across the network.
Darren Batty, the newly appointed regional director South East, brings more than three decades of hands-on experience with a range of logistics brands including Tuffnells, DX and Pall-Ex. He is tasked with using his operational insight and commercial expertise to support members in delivering on-the-ground excellence.
Jon Fullarton, who has been with Palletline since 2018, takes the role of regional director North & Scotland. He brings nearly 25 years of experience in the pallet and parcel industry. In his new post he will work closely with members to understand their needs and tailor support that helps them grow and adapt in a fast-changing landscape.
Announcing the management restructuring Palletline said: “As the logistics industry continues to face economic uncertainty and shifting market demands, Palletline is strengthening its leadership team to reinforce its position as a market leader in palletised freight distribution in the UK.
“Central to this next chapter is Palletline’s unique cooperative model — which places collaboration, accountability, and service at the very heart of its operations.
”This structure empowers members to grow with the full backing of a network committed to delivering market-leading service, innovation, and sustainable support.”

Graham Leitch, Palletline group chief executive, added: “These changes will enable Glenn to focus on the strategic direction of the business and the implementation of our recently announced five-year strategic plan.
“They are a natural step in our mission to build on Palletline’s success and strengthen our position in the market.
“Most importantly, they reflect our commitment to the ongoing growth and development of both the network and our members.
“We are the only member-owned network in the UK, and that brings a real sense of shared purpose. Our members are at the centre of everything we do, and I believe we now have the right team in place to work alongside them and lead Palletline into an exciting future.”
Palletline said its unique shareholder model is designed to put people first, with the aim of providing a stable, collaborative platform enabling its members to grow together.
