Pall-Ex has joined forces with Veterans into Logistics to help raise the charity’s profile.
The Greater Manchester-based charity trains and mentors Armed Forces Veterans into new careers as HGV Drivers and in recognition of Pall-Ex’s Gold Partner pledge to the charity, the network has emblazoned Veterans into Logistics’ livery on its newest Volvo tractor unit, that will travel up and down the UK.
Pall-Ex aims to be the employer of choice for those leaving the military. The company is signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant and achieved the MoD’s Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award in acknowledgement of their outstanding support to the Armed Forces community.
Veterans into Logistics founder and former Royal Artillery airborne gunner, Darren Wright said: “It is fantastic to see the charity’s livery on the Pall-Ex tractor unit and I am delighted to welcome Pall-Ex as a Gold partner supporter of Veterans into Logistics for their commitment to employing former military personnel.
“Pall-Ex’s dedication to Armed Forces veterans and service leavers is evident as the company has many ex-military employees from drivers through to its directors.
“Their belief in supporting careers after the military aligns with our own, and I’m excited for the future of our partnership and what we will achieve together supporting veterans into employment.”
Kevin Buchanan, Pall-Ex group chief executive, commented: “We are delighted to unveil our new livery in partnership with Veterans into Logistics, furthering our support of the Armed Forces community.
“The work that Veterans into Logistics is doing to encourage ex-military personnel into the industry is commendable, and Pall-Ex Group are proud to support the charity as a Gold Patron and with the addition of the new livery.
“The partnership is another step in the right direction to becoming the employer of choice for those leaving the military, and we are looking forward to welcoming more veterans to the business as a result of our work with Veterans into Logistics.”
